Botify Navigator

Overview

What the product does.

Botify Navigator is a Chrome (Manifest V3) extension that helps Zoom admins verify settings, compare against a saved baseline, and apply changes only with explicit confirmation. Dry-run is on by default and the extension only runs on Zoom domains.

Key capabilities

• Guided discovery

  Detects supported Zoom admin and home pages and shows a non-intrusive start prompt.

• Verify and Dry-Run Compare

  Compares the live state of admin settings against a bundled discovery baseline. Nothing changes unless Dry Run is explicitly turned off and Apply Baseline is clicked with confirmation.

• Scan Home and Explore Profile flow

  Captures /myhome data (display name, plan, Personal Meeting ID — redacted in logs by default) and walks the profile picture flow.

• Overlay controls

  An in-page overlay provides Pause, Resume, and Stop controls during any active run. A gold toolbar icon means idle; a red icon means a run is active.

• Safe by default

  Dry Run ON, lock changes OFF, secret reveal OFF, approval required before Apply, Stop on unknown popup ON, auto-start discovery OFF.

• Zoom-only host permissions

  The content script only runs on zoom.us and zoom.com domains. Lookalike hostnames are rejected.

How it works

The basic workflow, step by step.

   Open chrome://extensions and turn Developer mode on.

   Click Load unpacked and pick the chrome-extension folder from the distributed package.

   The setup wizard opens automatically and walks through configuration.

   Click the gold toolbar icon to open the popup. It turns red while a run is active.
